Glow in the Dark Tournament 

Our second Glow in The Dark Dink & Drink event will be held December 1, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The tournament is an open, round robin, dinking only tournament and the entire game is played at the kitchen line.

 

• This event will be done in the dark (after 6 pm) with “glow in the dark” pickleballs and UV Black lights illuminating the fluorescent tape on the court and net. Be sure to wear fluorescent or white clothing to help your partners and opponents see where you are. Fluorescent tape will be available to put on your paddles as well.

• We will randomly assign players for each game so that everyone will play with a different partner and against a different opponent for each game. At the end of the event, the player(s) with the highest score will be declared the winner and awarded a medal, with 2nd and 3rd place finishers being recognized as well. 

• We will be using 6 courts, so those courts will be closed to open play between 4-9 pm on that date.

• Depending on the lighting, the tournament will start as soon as it is dark or 6 p.m. at the latest.

• The court lights will be turned off for this event and we have permission from management to continue playing until 9pm so we can have enough time for plenty of games.

• Registration is open to all Gold Canyon Pickleball Club members only. It will be limited to the first 48 players to signup, regardless of gender or skill level. 

• Players who cancel within 48 hours of the event will be restricted from registering from all other events this season.  In the event of an emergency, please contact Linda Chadwell, Chairman at 602-816-0753.

No Host Social - There will be a no-host social before, during and after the event so please bring your own beverages and an appetizer to share.

• The social will begin at 5 pm and all players must be signed in by 5:30

• Even if you decide not to sign up for this event, come out and watch!

• Be sure to wear white or fluorescent clothing so you will glow in the dark as well!
