Big Dills - Final Home Match Tomorrow

The APPL (Arizons Pickleball Players League) season is drawing to a close. The Big Dills will have their final Home match on Thursday (5th) @ 1pm and will be hosting the Encore Kitchen Heat. We’ve had a tremendous season and are securing a solid finish to the season and a playoff berth for the State Championships which will be held later this month. Playoffs will be against the top A & B divisions and the Big Dills have secured their spot for the B division. The playoff match is on March 18th and will be on neutral courts at Pecos Park with the winner going to the State Championships.

Having the support of our local pickleball club has been a huge motivator to the team, as a whole, and we must thank everyone who has come out to support us at our home games. A special thanks to those supporters who have ALSO come out to support us at our games “on the road” and have taken on scorekeeping.

As the season comes to a close, it’s a good time to consider the addition of other teams out of our GC Pickleball Club. APPL provides a perfect blend of increased competition with people outside the park without the stress, cost and commitment of long days at the usual tournaments. Our park and club of our size can easily support 1-2 additional APPL teams at skill levels ranging from 2.5 - 4.5. You don’t need to have a DUPR or other tournament skill rating to play. There are opportunities for another Men’s or Women’s or Mixed team. I would be willing to answer questions or help a team get started.
