Time to celebrate!

I’m not sure I have the words for this. Or the right way to deliver them. We have waited sooooo long for the news but I was told Tuesday afternoon the Gold Canyon Pickleball Club made the cut for the Gold Canyon RV & Gold Resort cap-x budget and our tennis court courts will be 4 pickleball courts by next season. Work is to start in September but maybe August.
I was hoping to make a dramatic announcement at our next social but I just couldn’t hold the news that long.
We have been preparing for this for 2 seasons. If we can get through the next 2-3 months with the things we are trying to do, we should transition smoothly to our new good fortune.
That will leave your next presidents, Ken Copeland & Dean Hultman to fine tune our long-range visions. That’s why I want to want to ask you to jump on the bandwagon. If you love the GC Pickleball Club as much as Jan & I & would like to help shape the future with these new courts & opportunities, please consider being our next vice president with your spouse or a friend. There are great things on the horizon.
We could say better late than never but I prefer to say wahoo and let’s help Ken & Dean make the next step!
This is awesome news and HUGE kudos and thanks to the current Pickleball board at GCRV - you guys stayed the course and stuck to your plan with respect and professionalism and it paid off. Thank you all for all your work, vision, and dedication to the improvement of PB @ GCRV. Truly appreciated.
Nice work Dave and all of the officers. You could have easily given up, but instead, you continued to send the message up to management as professionals. Gold Canyon Pickleball and (Roberts Resort) will benefit from the expansion.
