It was a cool, wet week but most of you still managed to get in a whole bunch of games.
And the weather looks a whole lot better this coming week, and as you might expect, the round robin series are full as soon as they are open to book, which is 7 days prior to the series.
As a reminder, we are asking members to limit their play to one event per week so that everyone gets a chance to play in the round robins. And if they are full now, put your name on the waitlist because people do cancel as the week moves along, and you will likely get in.

As a reminder, Lessons, Clinics and Round Robin series are only open to paid members of the GCRV Pickleball Club, except for the Learn to Play sessions which are open to all resort residents for the first 3 lessons. After that we request that you join the club.

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS & SOCIALS
The FEBRUARY MIXER is scheduled for February the 15th, from 4:30 to 7pm in the Ballroom. The club supplies the protein and you supply a side dish. Watch for the RSVP to come out next week. Your hosts this month are Barb and Gil Delaurier & Brad and Marie Ann Faasse. Tickets are $3.00 for Members and $5.00 for non-members at the door.
The Luck of the Draw Tournament will take place on February 16th at the main courts. Your luck of the draw determines your partner to begin the event. After that, your skill on the courts pairs you with your next partner. Registration opens on February 7th at 2pm.
This tournament is open to ALL levels of play from Novice to Advanced. Who you play with is determined by the cards! Open to the first 56 players to sign up with a waitlist after that. If you have any questions please contact Linda Chadwell, Organized Play Chair at lindagcpb@gmail.com

And lastly, a gentle reminder to please be aware the courts 6 & 7 are OPEN daily and are not part of the scheduled play. However, if they are open with no one lined up in the paddle saddle, scheduled play may 'spill' into these courts until such time as there are players waiting to play outside of the scheduled play. We know it's a bit confusing at times, but if we all show a little patience and common sense, life on the courts will be a little less stressful.
