Weekly Roundup, Mar 9 - 16

It's a jam-packed week coming up with more round robins, the Canada vs US Tournament and two Social events!

THANK YOU!

Volunteer Appreciation BBQ, March 11th

Ever wonder who is working behind the scenes to make our club work? It takes a village and we have over 60 volunteers who work tirelessly to support the sport of Pickleball in our resort. And to thank them for all of their hard work, the Executive Board will be hosting a BBQ just for them at the pergola from 4pm to 7pm. Please note the courts will still be open, but the pergola is closed during this event.

Check out the long list of members who stepped up this year.

Canada vs USA Annual Gold Canyon Cup Tournament

Are you ready for our fifth annual Canada vs USA Pickleball tournament?

Find out which country will have bragging rights this year for the Gold Canyon Cup trophy on Saturday March 16th, 2024 from 9 a.m - 3 p.m.

This fun event will be a double’s round robin tournament, where we will pair 2 different players from Canada against 2 different players from the USA in each round. Come join the fun and cheer on your country!

Note - there are no Canadian substitutes on the waitlist. If you are Canadian and want to play, please put your name on the waitlist in the event of a cancelation.

Round Robins and More

Round robins are now happening almost daily at every level of play, so be sure you check out all of the available series on our website. Last week saw the first Novice round robin which was well attended by 18 members and, beginning March 13th for the remaining 3 Wednesdays, there will be an Intermediate Round Robin series which will be hosted by Jill Anderson. This series will replace Joe and Jans' Play and Learn series which is now finished for the season.

Members can go to the website under Lessons & Round Robins for more information and signups.

Once again we would like to thank everyone who has volunteered their time to put on these fun learning programs for our Club members.
